The Lucky Ewe specialises in small batch hand dyed yarn and fleece. Hand dyed update coming soon.
Tasogare is an Aran/Medium weight [10 ply equivalent]yarn featuring Noro's signature blend of corriedale/merino, silk, and mohair - such as popular yarns like Silk Garden. However, the meaning of Tasogare reveals the inspiration - Japanese for "twilight", that time when colors grow dim as light fades - this yarn features undyed dark brown wool which interplays with the dyed fibers in typical Noro multi colors - giving each color a more muted & deep feeling such as one feels at the end of the day when the brightness of the sun fades. Each dragon egg ball contains over 400 yards of yarn, enough for a small shawl or accessory.
The model shown is wearing a jumper that was featured on the cover of Noro Magazine No. 23 in a size Medium. The pattern name is Sakurasau and is knit in colour #11 and requires 3-5 balls of yarn, depending on your size and gauge.
NB: there is one errata in the pattern, the legend in the chart should be S2KP, not SK2P
60% Wool | 20% Silk | 20% Mohair
