Targhee is bred from Rambouillet, Columbia, Lincoln, and Corriedale crosses and produces a wool that has 25% long wool and 75% fine wool characteristics. This wool dyes beautifully and is super soft at approximately 23 to 23.5 microns. Targhee wool has a matte finish and feels spongey, making for wonderfully soft and lofty handspun yarns.
