Brushtale Yarn

As we've become more informed about the impacts of our choice of yarn and fibre, we began looking for sustainable choices that have a minimal impact on the environment.  As a sustainable choice, Brushtale Yarn is a real standout, and has the added benefit of being a low wool mile choice. 

Based in New Zealand, this yarn is 100% New Zealand processed and made. 

Off-cuts from garments and yarn that don't make it into a finished product are shredded in Christchurch then carded and blended with virgin possum fur and merino wool and spun into a beautifully soft hand knitting yarn. 

This is upcycling in action! Turning what is normally a waste stream into a first grade, high quality product.
